Vendors are advised to highly uphold the titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam that stressed on the issue of cleanliness. In response to His Majesty's titah, the main committee on cleanliness issues and task force committee will further enhance efforts and strategy in reviewing action plans so that it can be implemented in an effective and orderly manner especially in enforcing the existing acts. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs said this in response to the issue on cleanliness at the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas raised by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon.
Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong in his response said that vendors have been advised to be committed and responsible in maintaining cleanliness especially in the vicinity of the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas. A Main Committee for Cleanliness has been set up in February 2016, whereby the ministries involved are the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs. There are three main task force carrying out actions towards improving cleanliness levels nationwide. The three main task force are cleaning services and facilities, stakeholders' awareness and stewardship as well as law and enforcement.
