Muara: The Industry and Business Ecosystem Division (IBE), through the Weights and Measures Unit (SDT), in collaboration with relevant Government agencies, recently executed a joint enforcement inspection at Muara International Fish Landing Sendirian Berhad. The operation aimed to ensure that all weighing and measuring instruments used for trade were valid, accurate, and duly registered with the SDT Unit.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the inspection revealed that a total of twelve weighing and measuring instruments were in use for trading purposes. Of these, eleven units were found to be non-compliant with legal requirements, and eight were not registered. In response, a Seizure Notice was issued, leading to the confiscation of all non-compliant instruments. The owners have been instructed to report to the SDT Office within seven working days from the issuance date for corrective action and compliance.
