Junjungan Ziarah Ceremony Marks Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration in Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan: His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended the Junjung Ziarah Ceremony in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration in the afternoon. The event is a significant tradition that fosters solidarity between the Monarch and the people.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the first in line for the audience and Junjung Ziarah towards His Majesty were His Excellency Doctor Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Murali Pillai, Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Transport, Republic of Singapore. Their Excellencies also conveyed their Hari Raya greetings to His Majesty. Members of the Royal Family were also present.

Visitors to the ceremony included Royal Brunei Police Force personnel, as well as officers and staff of the Department of Immigration and National Registration. The Junjung Ziarah ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman, attracting a total of 15,061 visitors in the afternoon. The 2nd of April 2025 marks the last day for the public to attend the ceremony.
