Brunei muara: The Kembara Zakat 2026 Programme has been launched as part of an initiative to enhance the management services of zakat, wakaf, and baitulmal in Brunei Darussalam. The programme, spearheaded by the Department of Zakat, Wakaf and Baitulmal Affairs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, began on the morning of January 12th at the Brunei Muara District Office.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the launch was attended by Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The programme's goal is to provide Penghulu and Village Heads with clear information regarding the management of tithe assistance applications and services within the National Welfare System. In addition to an information session, the programme featured a Zakat Clinic. Also in attendance was Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohamed, Member of the Legislative Council.
