Jerudong: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha attended a Kesyukuran Ceremony in celebration of their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The event, organized by State Dignitaries, took place at the Royal Berkshire, Tarindak D'Polo, Jerudong, marking the 60th anniversary of their marriage, which originally occurred on July 29, 1965. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Royal Family and other distinguished guests.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the arrival of Their Majesties was warmly received by the Co-Chairs of the Kesyukuran Ceremony Committee, which included prominent figures such as Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris and various ministers and dignitaries. The event included the recital of Doa Kesyukuran led by the State Mufti, underscoring the blessings of the occasion.
Highlighting the ceremony, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Their Majesties. The State Mufti delivered a special talk titled 'Jubli Intan Perkahwinan', reflecting on the significance of the Diamond Wedding Anniversary as a divine blessing.
The celebration was further enhanced by Nasyid performances from students of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. In a gesture of appreciation, His Majesty and Her Majesty received junjung ziarah from State Dignitaries, who expressed their congratulations and joined in commemorating this landmark event in the lives of Their Majesties.
