Kesyukuran Ceremony Marks Brunei’s 42nd National Day

Bandar seri begawan: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, attended the Kesyukuran Ceremony to commemorate Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day. The event, held on February 23rd at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong, featured the Mass Fardhu Zohor Prayer, the reading of Surah Yaasin, and Doa Kesyukuran.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness' brothers, Prince 'Abdul Malik and Prince 'Abdul Mateen. Upon arrival, the Crown Prince was welcomed by key figures including Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara; Minister of Religious Affairs Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin; Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi; Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad; and the State Mufti Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz.

The Mass Fardu Zohor prayer was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim, who also guided the mass Sunat Hajat prayer. Additionally, he conducted the reading of Surah Yaasin and Doa Kesyukuran, a gesture of gratitude for the nation's peace and prosperity bestowed by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.
