Security forces in Khon Kaen Province joined forces to inspect a three-story shophouse after receiving a report that nearly 100 foreign workers had been transported into the area. From asking the Myanmar workers, they said that they traveled legally by paying a fee of 23,000 baht to work in a restaurant in Khon Kaen Province, where the employer paid them 13,000 baht per month. After that, they traveled to Thailand in September 2024. They traveled to Bangkok for a on e-month training to prepare for work. After that, they brought the Myanmar and Cambodian workers to Khon Kaen Province to work in a famous restaurant in Khon Kaen Province. Ms. Atchara Charoenphon, Acting Labor Officer of Khon Kaen Province, said that from now on, they will check their identity documents and work permits to see if they are legal or not. They will check everyone because they are afraid that there will be illegal workers mixed in.
