Korban Meat Slaughtering and Packaging Process

A number of the sacrificial animals contributed by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as well as the Royal family members in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha, were slaughtered and packed at the Mulaut Abbatoir, yesterday morning.

The process of slaughtering and packaging were carried out by a number of appointed staff. Ten Pehin Khatib and Mudim were appointed as representative of the intent. The slaughtering process were carried out by 4 certified slaughter and witnessed by 23 people comprising officers from the Halal Food Control Division, Syariah Affairs Department and Islamic Studies Department. 37 staffs were assigned for the meat process work, while 70 officers and staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Mulaut Abbatoir carried out the weighing and packaging process.

The act of sacrifice teaches Muslims to be kind and generous since a big part of the sacrificial meat is given to the poor and needy. The blessings and rewards for those who carry out the sacrificial rites in the name of Allah SWT is huge.
