Launching of AWS Outposts Hybrid Cloud in Brunei Darussalam

Jerudong: Comquest, a technology solutions provider, launched the Amazon Web Services, AWS Outposts Hybrid Cloud in Brunei Darussalam. The launching was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, in his capacity as Acting Minister of Transport and Infocommunications.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event also featured the signing of a three-year co-location services agreement with Unified National Networks Sendirian Berhad. This agreement aims to strengthen the infrastructure backbone that supports Brunei’s growing digital ecosystem. Distinguished guests included Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy; Her Excellency Caryn McClelland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America; and Her Excellency Erma Said AlKhatiri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman.

The event took place on the morning of 25th November at a hotel in Jerudong, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of Brunei’s digital infrastructure.
