Launching Of ‘Kenali Kementerianku’ Event

Bandar seri begawan: The Ministry of Home Affairs and its associated departments are embarking on a journey of digital transformation and service innovation with the aim of enhancing governance that is efficient, transparent, integrity-based, and citizen-centric. The Minister of Home Affairs highlighted that this platform provides an opportunity for the ministry to communicate the latest policies, initiatives, and services tailored to meet the needs of the people. During the launch of the ‘Kenali KementerianKu’ event, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman elaborated on the digital advances, which include new fire engines featuring modern technologies, the implementation of the Prisons Department’s digital technology system initiative, and the use of mobile applications for disaster management. The Department of Immigration and National Registration (JIPK) is also actively advancing its digital services.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat emphasized that the JIPK’s digital transformation includes the adoption of the e-Gate system at Brunei International Airport. This system reduces immigration screening times, enhances security checks, and streamlines the entry and exit process for travelers.

The event, spanning three days until the 26th of November, features a Talk Programme, facilitating interaction with the public, including stakeholders. The event also includes the sale of products from the One Village, One Product initiative, known as ONE K ONE P, INSAF products from the Prisons Department, goods from the Aftercare Support Association, and other local products. Additionally, the ‘Kedai Kampung’ was launched by the Mukim and Kampung Kasat Consultative Councils. The event commenced on the morning of 24th November at Dewan Muhibbah, Brunei Muara District Office in Berakas.
