Littering Fines Imposed at Jerudong Beach Area

Jerudong: The Brunei Muara District Office, through the Licensing and Enforcement Division, has issued a reminder to the public to maintain environmental cleanliness during recreational activities. This announcement comes after three individuals were fined for littering at the Jerudong beach area.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Abdul Kholik and Joyo Caksono, both Indonesian citizens, received compound fines of 100 each. Siti Nor Atiqah binti Awang Haji Asan, a local citizen, was also fined 100 for the same offense.

In a related incident, the Brunei Muara District Office imposed a compound fine on Mohamad Firdaus bin Haji Mohamad Ali Khanafiah for littering at a public parking area near the Lambak Kanan Community Hall stall area. He was also fined 100.

The individuals have been given seven days to settle the fines. Failure to do so could result in the cases being brought to court.
