Several livestock suppliers are making every efforts to ensure that there is sufficient livestock meat supplies for this year's rites of sacrifice. Among the effort is by importing livestock supplies from Sabah, Sarawak and Australia.
RTB Crew yesterday afternoon during an observation to several slaughter centre in the country found that the centres are busy with their preparation for tomorrow's rites of sacrifice. According to them, the demand for livestock has increased compared to the year before.
Syarikat Mohammed Norfaidzal bin Haji Zainuddin dan Anak-Anak for this year has imported a total of 675 cows and buffaloes for purpose of the rites. Meanwhile, the supply for goats are obtained from locals. The company has received more than 200 orders for the rites of sacrifice from individuals, mosques and government offices.
For Syarikat Assulay, the company has also recorded an increase in demand from year-to-year. Overall, a total order of 318 cows and buffaloes have been received for this year's feast.
