Bandar seri begawan: A local man was fined over thirty-five thousand Brunei Dollars for possessing cigarettes, vapes of various brands, firecrackers, and alcoholic drinks. Nor Afashahiza Bin Awg Mohammad, aged 37, committed the offense on 7th June 2023 at the parking lot of a supermarket in Kampung Lambak Kanan and in a house in the RPN Kampung Tanah Jambu area.
According to Radio Television Brunei, he was found in possession of 322 units of Vape Pods of various brands, three units of vape accessories, one packet of cigarettes, 14 boxes of various types of firecrackers, and one can of alcoholic drink. He pleaded guilty to all five charges and was sentenced to a total fine of BND35,150.00 or 31 months imprisonment if in default.
