Bandar seri begawan: Two Bangladeshi men have been charged with offences under the Immigration Act, Chapter 17, for overstaying in the country after their Immigration Passes had expired. Md Momin, aged 33, and Firoz, aged 41, faced legal consequences following their overstay in the country.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Md Momin received a sentence of 5 months imprisonment along with 3 strokes of whipping. In the case of Firoz, the court imposed a sentence of 7 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of whipping. These sentences commenced on 10th March 2026.
