Bandar Seri Begawan: 193 officers and staff of the Prime Minister's Office and its associated departments were honored with the Long Service Medal Award. The awards were presented as part of the celebrations for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 78th Birthday during a ceremony held at the Prime Minister's Office on the afternoon of May 24th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the medals were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, who serves as the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Defence. The award ceremony is intended to motivate the recipients to continue offering exemplary service in the future.
