Bandar seri begawan: The Maulidur Rasul Celebration continued with various religious events and Dikir on the night of September 3rd, drawing participation from multiple parties. A notable delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports attended a significant Religious Ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event saw the presence of Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary for Culture, and Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The gathering also included delegations from Tutong District Village Consultative Councils, the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Youth Group, the Wargamas Association, as well as lecturers and students from the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers’ University College.
In a parallel celebration, Masjid Universiti at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, in collaboration with its mosque takmir committee and Muslimah group, organized the Dikir Maulud. This event was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Education, including Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University. Delegations from Royal Brunei Airlines, RB, and the Muslimah of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque, Kampung Rimba, were also in attendance.
Meanwhile, the Tutong District New Muslim Converts Association hosted a ceremony at the PESATU Building. Organized by the Islamic Da’wah Centre under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Muallaf Development Section (Muallaf Empowerment), the Dikir ceremony was complemented by a Tazkirah titled ‘Fadhilat Selawat.’
