Maulidur Rasul Celebration Unites Ministries and Communities in Religious Ceremonies

Bandar seri begawan: The religious ceremony in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration continued to be held by various parties, bringing together different ministries and community groups in a united spiritual observance. The delegation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs took part in the ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman on the night of August 28th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, was present at the ceremony. The event featured the reading of Al-Qur'an verses, a tazkirah, and a dikir presentation. The delegation was accompanied by the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Takmir, Kampung Bengkurong Mosque Youth Group, and the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College.

Meanwhile, the Mosque Takmir Committee and Muslimah of Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, along with the Ministry of Health, organized a Dikir Maulud at the mosque. Attending the event was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The Dikir aimed to instill love towards Prophet Muhammad SAW.

In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a similar ceremony at the RPN Kampung Pandan Mosque, Kuala Belait. The delegation was led by Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut, Permanent Secretary for Safety and Welfare at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Members of the Legislative Council were also in attendance.
