Measures Update for Further Recovery of Cross-Border Activities

By the command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the COVID-19 Steering Committee informed on the measures update for further recovery of cross-border activities. The update, which will begin on Monday, 1st of August 2022, was announced by the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Minister said that full vaccination for foreign nationals who travel in or out of the country for any type of travel, whether by air, land or sea, is defined as having at least two doses of vaccine. However, foreign nationals who wish to enter the country are encouraged to obtain the booster dose to protect the peace, safety and well-being of all. Meanwhile, the definition of full vaccination for citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam for travel abroad, which is by air, land or sea, is to have at least three doses of vaccine or if they have not received the third dose, they must receive the second dose not more than three months before the date of leaving the country.
