Nine compound fines and six warning notices were issued to several business companies for violating the Price Control Act, Chapter 142 and the Regulations under it.   A Malaysian man was brought before the Kuala Belait Magistrates Court for possessing 60 cartons of cigarettes of various brands, an offence under the Excise Act 2006.   Hisham Bin Aladin pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment in default of a $46,500 fine.
