Ministry of Education Hosts ‘Run for Inclusion’ to Celebrate Special Education Anniversary

Jerudong: The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Special Education, in collaboration with the National Association for the Hearing-Impaired, OKP, organized a 'Run for Inclusion'. The event, held on the morning of August 31st at Jerudong Park Playground, marked the 30th Anniversary of the Department of Special Education.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was officiated by Pengiran Doctor Mohamad Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Corporate at the Ministry of Education. The run featured a variety of categories, including a 1-kilometre 'Family Fun Walk' for students accompanied by their parents and guardians, a 3-kilometres 'Competitive Run' specifically tailored for students with special needs, and a 5-kilometres 'Competitive Run' that was open to the public. The primary objective of these events was to raise funds to support the Special Education Fund and the OKP Association.
