Ministry of Health Delivers Vital Aid to Underprivileged Patients Across Four Districts

Brunei: The Ministry of Health, through the Medical Social Work Service, has initiated the MoH Prihatin activity, focusing on reaching out to underprivileged patients by visiting their homes. The initiative aims to provide donations, basic necessities, and medical equipment to patients and families registered with the Medical Social Work Service across four districts. This year, 17 registered patients and their families have benefited from the donations sourced from the Patient Assistance Charitable Fund, which includes contributions from Ministry of Health staff, non-governmental organizations, private entities, and individuals.

According to Radio Television Brunei, in the Brunei Muara District, a delegation led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, visited 4 patients. Similarly, 4 patients in the Belait District were visited by a delegation led by Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health.

In the Tutong District, 7 patients received visits from a delegation led by Pengiran Mohammad Khiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusoff, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Management at the Ministry of Health, along with members of the Legislative Council. Meanwhile, in the Temburong District, 2 patients were visited by a delegation led by Pengiran Dr Haji Md Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail, Director General of Medical and Health Services.
