Monarch Consented to Award State Decorations at Royal Audience and Investiture Ceremony (BruDirect (Brunei))

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to confer Brunei Darussalam State Decorations to 16 recipients in conjunction with His Majesty’s 69th Birthday anniversary during the Audience and Investiture Ceremony held at the Balai Singgahsana, Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam consented to attend the ceremony.

Also present were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah binti Dato Haji Nasir; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah; and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.

Also in attendance were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Nor’ain, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam, as well as other members of the royal family.

Also present were His Majesty’s special guests including His Excellency Tun Dato Laila Utama Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Yang Di-Pertua of Negeri Sarawak and wife; Yang Amat Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Musa bin Haji Aman, Chief Minister of Sabah and wife; The Honourable Mr. Lawrence Wong, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth and in the titah, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam says that every time the world changes or develops, it is felt by everyone including Brunei Darussalam. This is because it is part of the world. The changes, adds His Majesty, cover socio-politics, socio-economy and socio-culture.

His Majesty first consented to confer ‘Darjah Pahlawan Negara Brunei Yang Amat Perkasa’ (First Class), P.S.P.N.B that carries the title of Dato Seri Pahlawan to four recipients – The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Awang Haji Mohamad Jammy bin Haji Mohamad Shah Al-Islam, Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Paduka Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, First Admiral Pengiran Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad and Brigadier General (Air Force), Awang Haji Hamzah bin Sahat.

Two recipients were conferred ‘Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia’ (Second Class), D.P.M.B. that carries the title of Dato Paduka – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Khatib Awang Haji Suhaili bin Haji Metali Al-Hafiz and Pengarah Awang Haji Ismit bin Pengarah Mukim Haji Naim, Penghulu of Mukim Peramu.

Three people were conferred ‘Darjah Seri Ugama Islam Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bersinar’ (Third Class) , S.S.U.B. Meanwhile, Seven people were conferred ‘Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia’ (Third Class), S.N.B. They are Deputy Permanent Secretaries and senior government officers.

A Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr. Ustaz Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

The ceremony was also attended by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Councils, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Manteri, Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, and Heads of Departments.
