Two women and a man of foreign nationals were detained by the Immigration and National Registration Department for allegedly misusing the Immigration Pass to stay in the country. They were detained during the operation “Cekup”, carried out at several business premises in Mukim Sungai Kianggeh.
The man was also found to be working at a restaurant serving non-halal food. If found guilty, they can be sent to the prison, deported to their original countries and blacklisted from entering Brunei.
The Immigration and National Registration Department once again reminds employers to monitor the whereabouts of their staff. Any queries can be forwarded to Hotline – 873-4888 and 875-3888.
