Bandar Seri Begawan: Towards strengthening the understanding and internalisation of Islamic teachings among Muallaf or new converts, the Mualaf Development Division, Tarbiyah Mualaf, Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs today held a Mualaf Basic Guidance Scheme simultaneously in all four districts. The 14-day intensive programme, which is held until the 14th of May, aims to guide new converts in deepening basic Islamic teachings theoretically.
According to Radio Television Brunei, in Brunei Muara District, the scheme is attended by 35 people. The scheme provides exposure on Fardhu 'Ain and Fardhu Kifayah, including modules such as Iqra' learning and memorisation.
In Belait District, the programme is held at the Da'wah Unit Office, Belait District, with 38 participants. The scheme aims to provide basic understanding on Islam.
In Tutong District, the scheme is held at the Da'wah Unit Office, Tutong District for female participants, while the male participants attend the scheme at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain Religious School. The programme is designed to better prepare the new converts and enhance their confidence in practising Islamic teachings with full understanding.
In Temburong District, 14 participants take part in the scheme. Conducted at the Da'wah Unit Office, Bangar Town, the scheme includes practical training to help them internalise and practice the teachings of Islam.
