The role of social media is important as a platform for delivering da’wah messages in today’s digital era. The matter was emphasised during the Da’ie Mentoring Programme which acts as a platform for the Da’ie to interact with ulama or religious scholars.
The programme ”Multaqa Da’ie with Ustazah Asma Harun” included the special talk titled ‘Da’wah and Social Media: Opportunities and Challenges’.
Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The programme focuses on the challenges and opportunities that exist in using social media as a tool for delivering da’wah.
Organized by the Islamic Da’wah Centre through the Da’wah Dissemination Division, the program which is held until tomorrow is attended by 200 people comprising officers and Da’ie of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the departments under it. The event was held this morning at the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
