Bandar seri begawan: A true man is not one who never experiences weakness but is courageous enough to address his vulnerabilities, seek assistance from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala, and gain support from others. This message was conveyed during a tazkirah at the Munajat Night event titled ‘True Men in Islam: Strength of Qawwam and the Reality of Psychological Vulnerability’.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event emphasized the need for communities to better understand the psychological vulnerabilities faced by men due to high social pressures and demands. Munajat Night was organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Jerudong Park Medical Centre, marking Men’s Health Awareness Month. The virtual gathering took place from the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampung Jerudong and included participation from officers and staff of JPMC, congregants from several mosques nationwide, and members of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
