Bandar Seri Begawan: The 'Nuqra Hajj' programme, a unique initiative simulating the manasik haj, provides the public with a remarkable opportunity to experience the spiritual atmosphere of performing the haj. Organized for the first time by Nuqra Quranic, the programme was inaugurated at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas in the capital, attracting a large number of participants and officials on the morning of May 25th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the programme's launch was officiated by Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It drew in a thousand participants, all eager to gain a deeper understanding of the haj through this immersive experience. The programme also garnered support from 12 tourism, umrah, and haj agencies, demonstrating a collaborative effort to enrich the public's knowledge and experience of this important religious practice.
With comprehensive guidance provided throughout the event, the 'Nuqra Hajj' programme aimed to offer a valuable learning space, allowing visitors to not only understand but also feel connected to the pillars of Haj. This initiative marks a significant step in religious education, bringing a piece of the haj experience closer to home for many who may not have had the chance to undertake the pilgrimage themselves.
