The Ministry of Development's Strategy Plan Workshop is hoped to act as an avenue for exchanging opinions to identify strategic issues and matters of common interest at the Ministry. This is particularly so in relation to core strategies in order for the Ministry of Development to determine the appropriate direction towards accomplishing the Wawasan Negara 20-35. The hope was expressed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi Bin Haji Gafar, the Minister of Development at the official opening of the workshop this morning. Yang Berhormat added the Ministry of Development as the Leader in Strategic Infrastructure, Land Use and the Environment has a major role in supporting the Wawasan to raise the standard of living in the country and to maintain the environment based on two main national indicators, the Liveable and Sustainable Nation and the Green Nation.
Earlier, Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, the Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional) at the Ministry of Development in his welcoming speech hoped findings from the workshop would prepare proposals and systematic action plans to achieve the ministry's goals. The workshop was to review and enhance the Draft of the Ministry of Development's Strategic Plan for the next five years in determining the ministry's direction and action plans towards achieving its vision. Also present was Dayang Doctor Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, the Acting Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Development. The 3-day workshop is attended by Heads and Deputy Heads of Departments, Divisions and Units under the Ministry of Development.
