Bandar seri begawan: The Library and Learning Division inaugurated a Mini Library Carnival, featuring a Library Symposium and Exhibition, to promote the Brunei History Centre Library. The Opening Ceremony took place this morning.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was officiated by Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Doctor Awang Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Head of the Brunei History Centre, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the significance of preserving historical heritage to maintain the continuity of national identity.
The Mini Carnival spans three days, with a focus on enhancing the role of libraries as hubs for research, repositories of national heritage, and sources of knowledge, ensuring their ongoing relevance.
