Local fashion designers had the opportunity to display their creativity at the Fashion Designer Alliance Showcase, 19th September night. The event took place at Butik Karya Kitani in Jerudong.
Present watching the show was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The show displayed pieces that varies from womenswear to traditional menswear.
Fashion designers that took part in the show include Naforrer; Mahkota Designs; XOIA; Chantique; Little Dayang;, Tapih Rancung; Rebels and Queens; Paperplane; and TheaSeera. The newly established Fashion Designers Alliance brought together individuals from various backgrounds, achievements and specialties as part of efforts to unify and develop the fashion industry in Brunei Darussalam. Collectively, members of the alliance have won the Islamic Designs and Fashion Council Award in Dubai, have participated in international fashion shows abroad, while some of the designers will be participating in the upcoming ASPARA Fashion Week via a virtual fashion show.
