Songkhla, 8 Oct. - The shooting case of a family of 4 people, the family of a former Songkhla city council member, suspects that the wife put him to sleep before shooting her husband, son, daughter and then herself. The police are investigating the motive for the incident. Yesterday (7 October), Songkhla City Police, along with forensic officers, inspected a house on Sai Buri Road in Songkhla Municipality. It was a two-story detached house with a fence around it. The fence was locked from the inside. It was found to be the house of Mr. Chaichan, age 61, a former member of the Songkhla Municipality Council and most recently a candidate for secretary of the mayor of the Songkhla Power Team. Inside the house, four bodies were found. In the living room, the bodies of Mr. Chaichan and his 16-year-old son were found. In the upstairs bedroom, the body of an 18-year-old daughter was found. When searching another bedroom, the body of the owner's wife, aged 47, was found holding a 9 mm. pistol, which is likely the p erpetrator. All had gunshot wounds to the head. Later, at 9 pm, officers took the bodies of all 4 people out of the house and sent them to Songkhla Hospital for a more detailed autopsy, amidst the grief of relatives from both the husband and wife. In this case, the authorities still have to wait for the results of some physical examinations, such as examining the stomach to see if there are any drugs, such as sleeping pills, because there are suspicions that the husband, daughter, and son may have been drugged before committing the crime, because the autopsy results found that pillows were used to support the heads of all three people before shooting them. The wife, before committing suicide as the last person, tried to light a piece of paper to smoke herself in the room but did not die. Therefore, she decided to use a gun to shoot herself because when the officers found her body, it was still warm. She probably did not s hoot herself immediately, but probably waited for a while after shooting her husband, son, and daughter. It was also found that before the incident, the wife went to ask for sleeping pills at her father's house. This matter must wait for the test results to prove whether sleeping pills were given or not because at the time of the incident, the house was normal, there was almost no sound at all, except for the sound of a gunshot.
