Over 100 participating teachers at the Local Teachers on Contract Induction Programme for the Local Graduates Recruitment as English and Mathematics Teachers project are now ready to begin the task of improving English and Mathematics learning for the students. They will be allocated at several government primary and secondary schools. The presentation of letters of appointment and work placement was held yesterday afternoon.
On hand to present the letters of appointment and work placement was Dayang Hajah Zurina binti Haji Harun, Acting Director of Human Resource Section, Ministry of Education. Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Head of Literacy and Numeracy Coaching Programme, LNCP, in his speech, urged teachers to continuously strides in improving their teaching quality by learning from experienced teachers.
The induction programme include 11 briefing session from related departments including 5 workshops by LNCP project manager. The teachers will undergo various professional development programme which aimed to enhance their teaching quality, in terms of pedagogy and curriculum contents. The 5-day induction programme exposed teachers on knowledge and information of the Ministry of Education's aspiration and expectation as well as exposure on the role and responsibility of an educator.
