Professional Haj and Umrah Guide Programme Certificate Presentation

Bandar seri begawan: Haj and umrah guides should adopt a balanced approach on knowledge, wisdom, and character. In guiding pilgrims, not all matters can be solved with religious rulings. The Minister of Religious Affairs stressed that a good guide is one who is knowledgeable yet humble, firm yet wise, skilled yet not burdensome, and always prioritizes the pilgrim's well-being within the framework of the Islamic law. Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan stated the matter at a certificate presentation ceremony for the first intake of the Professional Haj and Umrah Guide Programme. It was held at the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, 24th June morning.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat called on the participants to be guides who calm the pilgrims, make understanding easier, and bring Islamic character. They must also remember that guiding the guests of Allah is a great honor and is a significant trust.

The function coincided with the launching of the guidebook for Haj and Umrah Guides and a certificate presentation to 19 participants. The programme was part of KUPU SB's initiative to strengthen the training ecosystem and competency development for haj and umrah guides in the country.
