Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with the Language Month celebration to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Language and Literature Bureau, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through the Language and Literature Bureau, organized a special Tahlil ceremony. The event featured the recitation of Surah Yasin and Tahlil in honor of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim at the Royal Mausoleum on the afternoon of June 24th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The Language Month 2026 celebration will culminate on July 7th at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, under the theme 'Bahasa Jiwa Bangsa.'
