Bangar Town: The awareness and understanding of the community in Temburong District on the importance of halal principles were enhanced through the organising of the Program on Raising Halal Awareness. Held in conjunction with the Day of Action Campaign and the International Youth Day Celebration, it took place at the Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Bangar Town, 25th January morning.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the program is one of the initiatives to raise public awareness and understanding on the importance of halal principles, not only in nutrition but also non-food products. It included explanations on halal principles from a legal perspective and aspects of hygiene, food safety and safety other than food. The program was organised by the Halal Food Control Division, Syariah Affairs Department through the Halal Food Control Unit, Temburong District in collaboration with the Mosque Affairs Division, Temburong District and the Utama Mohamad Salleh Mosque, Bangar Town in Temburong District.
