Kuala belait: Enforcement Officers of the Halal Food Control Section, Department of Syariah Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Royal Customs and Excise Department conducted a joint operation on a house in STKRJ Mumong, Kuala Belait. According to Radio Television Brunei, the operation uncovered 39.8 kilogrammes of raw chicken wings brought into the country without Halal Import Permit. All the chicken wings were seized and handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for investigation and further action. The Ministry of Religious Affairs reminded the public that any raw meat brought into the country must obtain halal import permits from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council.
