The Climax of RBAF 58 Anniversary Celebration was highlighted with Grand Parade mounted by more than 1,000 personnel of combined units of Royal Brunei Armed Forces. His Majesty graced the ceremonial event which took place at the Bolkiah Garrison.
Upon arrival His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Second Minisiter of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Also present was His Majesty's son, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.
Shortly after arriving, His Majesty received the Royal Salute. His Majesty then inspected units in the parade comprising one thousand and fifty eight (1,058) personnel of the Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Air Force, RBAF Training Institute, RBAF Special Force Regiment, Women Military Personnel, RBAF Band and RBAF vehicles and equipment under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali.
The RBAF anniversary celebration this year carries the theme, "Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara". The theme portrays the RBAF's role as a national asset that always takes and improve its movements in the national security, peace and development agenda with a vision of expanding its capabilities by enhancing capacity as well as sharpening the personnel's skills towards top quality professionalism.
This year's celebration clearly stresses on the importance of the RBAF oath to the commitment of together supporting and realising Wawasan Brunei 2035. The parade also showcased the RBAF's fitness and alertness which are symbols of the country's pride. The call of 'Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik' echoed, signifying the strong spirit of all the RBAF members. Doa selamat was read by Commander Haji Ainolizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Head of RBAF Religious Department.
His Majesty then received the Royal Salute, followed as the flypast of Royal Brunei Air Force aircraft enlivened the event further.
At its mature age, the RBAF continue to support the country's development and progress in a holistic way by ensuring a peaceful environment through string defences and security.
