Bandar Seri Begawan: The Religious Ceremony while waiting for the result of the Moon Sighting for Syawal 1446 Hijrah was conducted on the evening of 30th March. The event was organized by the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB), which convened after the sighting of the new moon of Syawal. Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs and President of MUIB, was in attendance.
According to Radio Television Brunei, other notable attendees included Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence, alongside Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development. The ceremony began with a presentation of Al-Qur'an reading, followed by tahlil and doa arwah, culminating in the mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer.
