Screening Highlights Ocean Conservation Efforts in Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with World Ocean Day, the screening of "The Invisible Catch 2026" was held on the afternoon of June 8th exclusively at One Cineplex, One City Mall. This event was part of Ocean Week Brunei 2026 and the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, MYCE 2026, initiatives focused on marine conservation, sustainability, and the blue economy. According to Radio Television Brunei, the screening was organized by the Poni Foundation. It aimed to unite various parties to raise awareness about the threats facing the world's oceans today, specifically illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing. The film is based on a report by the Global Awareness and Impact Alliance titled "Trapped in the Nets: Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing in Borneo Island." Produced by Poni Studios in collaboration with New Wave Films, it was commissioned by the Australian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam.
