Authority Monetary Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) with the cooperation of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Banks Association of Brunei (BAB), and Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) is holding the Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) and PitchFest roadshow in the country. The event organised by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is taking place at the Design and Technology (D&T) Building in Kampung Anggerek Desa.
Held in ASEAN countries the roadshow and PitchFest are segments under this year's Singapore Fintech Festival. This is in line with Singapore's initiative to promote Fintech's development and provide a platform to display the Fintech innovative solutions from ASEAN member nations. It is a newly introduced element in this year's ASEAN Fintech Showcase.
During the event, WasapPay Enterprise, Jana Modal Ethis, Chynge Sdn Bhd and BruPay Sdn Bhd presented their Fintech solutions. Following the presentations, BruPay Sdn Bhd won the first place from their product, an electronic payment wallet. The company will display the product at the coming Singapore Fintech Festival. They will also be given the opportunity to take part in the Innovation Lab Crawl where 20 financial institutions in Singapore will be visited to learn the latest Fintech solutions.
A panel discussion organised by Andrew Bronsthein from PwC on Fintech opportunities between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore was attended by representatives of AMBD, BAB, DARe and NETS.
