The First Meeting of the 17th Legislative Council in its ninth day yesterday approved the allocation for TWO more ministries namely the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Development and made as part of the Supply Bill 2021/2022 Schedule. The Council also deliberated on the allocation for the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications.
The morning's session commenced with deliberations on several issues related to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs while responding to the query by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman on religious schooling for children with special needs, among others explained that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has implemented various initiatives to provide special education teachers.
Apart from having the training courses jointly conducted by the Ministry of Education, the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College offers a degree level course called Bachelor of Islamic Education, which includes special education as its minor.
