Kuala Lumpur: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to participate in the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. Upon his arrival at the Subang Air Base, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Senator Datuk Seri Nasution bin Ismail, Malaysia's Minister of Home Affairs, and Yang Berbahagia Datuk Rozainor bin Ramli, Chief of Ceremony for Malaysia.
According to Radio Television Brunei, other notable figures present to welcome His Majesty included Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; and His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia. Senior officers from the Malaysian Royal Air Force were also in attendance to honor the Sultan's arrival.
Malaysia, serving as the Chair of ASEAN this year, is emphasizing the theme "Inclusivity and Sustainability". This theme underlines ASEAN's dedication to fostering regional resilience and prosperity, and to enhancing cooperation amidst global challenges and external pressures.
