Sultan of Brunei Embarks on State Visit to Malaysia for Annual Leaders Consultation

Kuala lumpur: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam departed for Malaysia to partake in a State Visit and the 26th Malaysia-Brunei Darussalam Annual Leaders Consultation. Accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, the Sultan left on the afternoon of August 25, 2025. Prior to departure from Istana Nurul Iman, a Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

According to Radio Television Brunei, members of the Royal Family, along with distinguished officials including Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-pengiran Cheteria, the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Cabinet Ministers, Members of the Privy Council, Deputy Ministers, the Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force, and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, were present at the Sultan’s Flight Hangar in Rimba to bid farewell.

Upon His Majesty’s arrival at the Subang Air Base in Malaysia, he was greeted by several dignitaries, including Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Other notable figures such as Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Yang Berhormat Datuk Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, Minister of Communications, and His Excellency Datuk Mohd Aini bin Atan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, were also present. Additionally, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia, attended the welcoming ceremony.
