Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, highlighted the positive operational momentum in the BSJV and BGC Companies. He stressed the importance of maintaining this progress to ensure continued success. His Majesty emphasized resilience amid the changing global energy landscape and the need for forward planning for long-term agility and success. This was during the 226th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad (BLNG) and the 112th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad (BGC) for the second quarter of 2025, held at the Prime Minister’s Office building.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty was greeted upon arrival by key officials including Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy. Both officials are board members of BLNG and BGC.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including Shareholder Directors from the Government of His Majesty, Shell PLC, and Mitsubishi Corporation, along with management members from BLNG and BGC. Discussions covered safety, operational performance, financials, and manpower development for both BLNG and BGC. His Majesty is also scheduled to chair the 415th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd and the 193rd Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd on July 30, 2025.
