Sultan of Brunei Emphasizes High Impact Research at UNISSA

Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, highlighted the importance of cultivating a culture of high impact research at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). This research should not only focus on academic pursuits but also address current issues, societal challenges, and contribute to policy development and real-world problem-solving. His Majesty cited research in the fields of halal and food science as key examples. The emphasis was made during a titah in conjunction with UNISSA’s 15th Haflut Takharruj.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty began the titah by expressing gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala for the opportunity to gather at the event. He extended sincere congratulations to the graduates on their achievements, noting that their success reflects diligence and determination. His Majesty also expressed hope for the next generation of leaders in the country.
