Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has stressed the need for sustained focus amidst an uncertain external environment during the recent Board of Directors meetings for Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM). These meetings, the 419th for BSP and the 197th for BSM, were conducted for the second quarter of 2026 at the Prime Minister's Office.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty highlighted the necessity of rigorous decision-making and enhanced coordination across the portfolio. His titah underscored the importance of quality execution, prioritization, and timely risk management to ensure sustainable long-term performance. The Sultan also emphasized stronger coordination across the value chain to bolster these efforts.
Upon arrival at the meeting, His Majesty was greeted by key figures including Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office for Energy, Upstream and Downstream, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Second Minister of Finance. Both are members of the BSP and BSM Board of Directors. The meeting agenda covered operational performance, safety, finance, manpower development, and long-term strategic planning for both BSP and BSM.
The gathering also included Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Shell plc, and management members from BSP and BSM. This meeting concluded the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies Board Meetings for the second quarter of 2026.
