Sultan of Brunei Receives Intending Haj Pilgrims at Istana Nurul Iman

Bandar Seri Begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience and junjung ziarah the country's intending haj pilgrims at a ceremony held at Istana Nurul Iman on the afternoon of 1st May.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by His Majesty's son, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. A total of 992 intending haj pilgrims, comprising 472 males and 520 females, participated in the ceremony. This group included officers from the Brunei Darussalam Haj Management Office for Administration and Medical, as well as officers from the Haj Package Service Operators.

The intending haj pilgrims are scheduled to depart for Madinah on four separate flights on the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th of May. The pilgrims are advised to be well-prepared in various aspects before embarking on their pilgrimage to the holy land.
