Sultan of Brunei Receives Prince Faisal in Audience Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, during an Audience Ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman. Prince Faisal's visit to Brunei spans from April 13th to 16th, 2025.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council. High-ranking officials including Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, were present at the event.

Prince Faisal is in Brunei to participate in the 2nd Olympic Council of Asia, OCA Gender Equality Seminar, which runs from April 12th to 16th, 2025. During the ceremony, His Majesty and Prince Faisal reaffirmed the robust ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, focusing on mutual interests such as education, sports, and cultural exchanges. His Majesty also conveyed gratitude for Jordan's efforts in supporting Palestine through humanitarian initiatives and mediating ceasefire agreements.
