This prestigious event is scheduled for 9th August 2025 and comes at the invitation of His Excellency Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the participation of the Bruneian royal couple underscores the long-standing and warm ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. The invitation to such a significant event signifies the robust bilateral relations that the two nations share.
Brunei and Singapore have established strong cooperation in several fields, notably in trade, investment, currency interchangeability, and defense. The countries also foster people-to-people connections and collaborate closely on the regional and international stage, including platforms such as ASEAN, the United Nations, and the Commonwealth. The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri last graced Singapore’s National Day Parade in 2019, marking the Republic’s Bicentennial celebration.
