Temburong: Temburong District, home to a mosaic of races, ethnicities, and religions, recently hosted a significant event that underscored the community’s strong solidarity and cooperation. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended the Get-Together Ceremony with the district’s citizens and residents. Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, as well as His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Temburong District, Brunei’s second largest, continues to experience comprehensive development. Economic growth is evident through initiatives like the One Village One Product, with local products such as ‘Kuih Wajid’ gaining recognition. Sultan Hassan Secondary School demonstrates a commitment to enhancing knowledge and skills, supported by various agencies, reflecting the people’s loyalty to His Majesty and the nation. The event’s atmosphere emphasized the close relationship between the Monarch and the community.
His Majesty and the Royal Family later visited the Banquet Hall, where they met four individuals who have significantly contributed to the country. The Doa Selamat was read by Awang Haji Sahrin bin Haji Kadeh, Syariah Subordinate Court Judge. Known as the Green Jewel, Temburong District, with its diverse ethnic groups, continues to progress rapidly.
